Built for Anhydrite & Plaster Precision
This is a CSA-based (Calcium Sulphate Aluminate) adhesive, chemically engineered to bond directly to gypsum-based substrates. We have formulated this to eliminate the risk of reaction between cement and gypsum, removing the need for time-consuming sealing and priming steps.

Your Questions, Answered
Correct. Because BritGyp S1 is a CSA-based adhesive (chemically similar to the screed itself), it does not react with gypsum. This allows you to fix tiles directly to the screed or plaster without a preventative barrier primer, saving you time and money.
No. This is a specialist product designed strictly for Anhydrite Screeds and Plaster Based Surfaces. For standard concrete or sand/cement screeds, you should use our BritFlex range.
BritGyp S1 is suitable for domestic bathrooms but must not be used on areas subject to frequent wetting (like wet room floors or swimming pools). It is for Interior Use Only.
It is a Rapid Setting adhesive. It has a pot life of 1 hour (giving you good working time) but sets hard enough to allow grouting after just 3 hours.
Yes. It is fully compatible with both matted and piped underfloor heating systems. Its S1 Flexibility allows it to cope with the thermal expansion of the heated screed.
A 20kg bag will cover approximately 5-6 sq.m at a 3mm bed depth. This is slightly better coverage than some standard cement-based adhesives due to the lighter density of the gypsum base.
