Description
BritFlex S2 Rapidset is suitable for fixing different tiles including ceramics, slate, limestone, marble, porcelain, terrazzo and mosaics to a differing number of surfaces where slight movement is a factor. This includes all timber floors such as tongue and groove and floating floors. If used externally then a solid bed method of fixing is recommended.
BritFlex S2 Rapidset is suitable for both matted and piped underfloor heating.
Built for Extreme Flexibility & Movement
This is our highest specification adhesive. Engineered with advanced polymers, BritFlex S2 is designed to accommodate lateral and longitudinal movement, making it the only safe choice for bouncing floors or areas with severe thermal fluctuation.

Your Questions, Answered
The "S" rating refers to flexibility. S1 is "Deformable," but BritFlex S2 is "Highly Deformable". This means S2 can bend and flex significantly more than S1, making it essential for substrates with high movement, like floating floors or timber.
Yes. Unlike most adhesives, BritFlex S2 is specifically suitable for floating wooden floors and tongue and groove timber. Its high polymer content allows it to absorb the vertical deflection (bounce) that cracks standard adhesives.
Because of the high rubber/polymer content, the density is higher. A 20kg bag will cover approximately 4.5 sq.m at a 3mm bed depth. This is slightly less than standard adhesives, so be sure to order enough.
Yes, it is suitable for Interior and Exterior Use. The S2 flexibility makes it the best choice for outdoor patios where thermal shock (hot sun to freezing rain) causes significant expansion and contraction.
It is a Rapid Setting adhesive. You can walk on the floor and grout after just 3 hours. The pot life (working time) is 40 minutes, so mix only what you can use in that time.
We always recommend priming timber or porous surfaces with BritPrime Grip & Seal before applying. This prevents the wood from sucking the moisture out of the adhesive too quickly and ensures the strongest possible chemical bond.
